The Entrepreneurship and Marketing Lab promotes exploration of concepts in commercial research, product development, business fundamentals, and marketing. Entrepreneurs are company founders that take an idea and develop it into a business. Students will learn how successful entrepreneurs create companies.
Students will work with community partners in order to understand the foundational impact of business development within the community of Madera. Projects over the course of the year will encompass creating a product or service, business plan, and marketing campaign. Within the project, students will learn about business operations, office technology, finances, and Adobe software. Working with those in the industry will deepen their understanding of creativity, passion, and vision of the future. Learning to be self-motivated leaders will drive the students to success.
By gaining the necessary knowledge in business, students will understand the infinite opportunities their futures hold. The lab will allow students to gain skills that can lead to several pathways in high school including; Business and Finance, Marketing, and Entrepreneurship and Self-Employment. Students will have the chance to participate in Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) which is the largest career student business organization in the world. Students will earn their English, Math, and Elective credit while gaining an entrepreneurial mindset. Careers in this pathway include entrepreneurs, business owners, chief executive officers, and management.
